Terms & Conditions

1.	Definition

1.1	"Bank" means United Overseas Bank Limited ("UOB") or Far Eastern Bank Limited ("FEB") as the case may be, and includes any successor or assign of the Bank.

1.2	"Account" means the UOB i-Account.

1.3	"Accountholder" means the holder of the Account.

1.4	"Additional Interest Rates" refers to interest rates awarded in addition to the prevailing Account interest rates to Accountholders during the Offer Period.

1.5	"Fresh Funds" refers non-UOB/FEB cheques as well as all other funds that are not transferred from any UOB/FEB current/savings or fixed deposit account.

1.6	"Exclusive Deposit Offers" refers to the special privileges accorded exclusively to UOB Lady's Card members.

1.7	"Offer Period" means the period from 19 May 2010 to 31 December 2010, both dates inclusive.

1.8	"Terms and Conditions" means the terms and conditions for the Exclusive Deposit Offers, as may be amended from time to time.

2.	Exclusive Deposit Offers

2.1

The Exclusive Deposit Offers extended to UOB Lady's Card members are as follows:

2.2

UOB i-Account

2.2.1

To be eligible, the individual must present a valid UOB Lady's Card.

2.2.2

The minimum balance fee of S$7.50 is waived for new UOB i-Account(s) ("Account") opened by UOB Lady's Card members during the Offer Period.

2.2.3

The minimum balance fee waiver of S$7.50 is not applicable to Lady's Card members with an Account opened prior to the Offer Period.

2.2.4

A UOB Lady's cardmember with more than one UOB i-Account may enjoy this waiver, subject to clause 2.2.1.

2.2.5

If the Account is closed within 6 months of account opening, a fee of S$30 is applicable.

2.2.6

Account(s) shall be eligible for waiver of the minimum balance fee of S$7.50 for 12 calendar months from the date of account opening. No extension of waiver shall be granted to customers.

2.2.7

The account service charge of S$2.00 shall apply.

2.2.8

The terms of the minimum balance fee waiver may change, vary or terminate without prior notice.

2.3

Fixed Deposit Accounts

2.3.1

To be eligible, the individual must present a valid UOB Lady's Card.

2.3.2

UOB Lady's Cardmembers are eligible for a Promotional Interest Rate of 0.40% p.a. for a 6-month SGD Fixed Deposit placement. The Promotional Interest Rate is subject to a minimum fresh fund placement of S$50,000 up to a maximum of S$999,999,999.99 per Singapore Dollar Fixed Deposit placement. This Promotional Interest Rate is for a limited time only and subject to change from time to time without prior notice.

2.3.3

This promotional offer is applicable to individual customers only and is not valid with other UOB Singapore Dollar Fixed Deposit (SGDFD) promotions.

2.3.4

To qualify for the SGFD 0.40%p.a. promotional interest rate, a minimum deposit of S$50,000 and up to a maximum of S$999,999,999.99 must be placed in a 6-month SGDFD

2.3.5

The promotional interest rate and tenor are valid for a limited time period only and may be subject to change by the Bank at its sole discretion without prior notice

2.3.6

Promotional interest rates only apply if the deposit is held to maturity. Interest payments (if any) will be calculated at the Bank's discretion for premature withdrawals.

2.3.7

UOB may at its absolute discretion, vary, delete or add to any of these terms and conditions, including but not limited to varying the Gifts, the promotion period, promotional rates and fixed deposit tenor, and may also terminate this promotion at any time without giving any reasons or prior notice and shall not be liable to any customers in connection with this promotion.

2.3.8

Please refer to the Bank's Terms and Conditions Governing Accounts and Services and the Bank's Additional Terms and Conditions Governing Accounts and Services which are applicable, at uobgroup.com(collectively, the "General Terms"). If there is any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and the General Terms, these Terms and Conditions will prevail.

3.	Withdrawals / Closure of Account

3.1	In the event that the Account is closed within six months from the account opening date, the Account will be subject to an early account closure fee of S$30.

3.2	If the Bank subsequently discovers that the Card or Account holder is in fact not eligible to enjoy the exclusive deposit offerings, the Bank may at its discretion forfeit the Additional Interest(s) or reclaim it/them if already awarded and award or dispose of it/them in such a manner to such person/persons as the Bank deems fit. No person shall be entitled to any payment or compensation from the Bank should any Additional Interest be forfeited / reclaimed by the Bank.

4.	General

4.1	The Terms and Conditions set out herein supplement and are additional to (i) the Terms and Conditions Governing Accounts and Services and (ii) the Additional Terms and Conditions Governing Accounts and Services. (i) and (ii) are collectively known as "Account Terms". In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the Terms and Conditions herein and the Account Terms, the Terms and Conditions herein shall prevail and the Account Terms shall be deemed to have been amended to the extent necessary to give effect to the Terms and Conditions herein.

4.2	UOB's decision on all matters relating to or in connection with the Exclusive Deposit Offerings shall be final, conclusive and binding on all parties concerned and no correspondence will be entertained.

4.3	In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any brochure, marketing or materials relating to the Promotion, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

4.4	Participation in the Exclusive Deposit Offering is subject to the Terms and Conditions stated herein. UOB may, at its discretion, vary, delete or add on to any of these Terms and Conditions, including but not limited to varying the Offer Period or terminating this Exclusive Deposit Offering at any time without giving any reasons or prior notice or assuming any liability to any customers.
